Course Description: Upon completion of this course, participants will possess the critical skills to detect,
identify, and counter the illicit use of Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS), directly supporting and enhancing
their agency's counter-narcotic efforts. This course provides the fundamental knowledge needed by the
entire public safety community - including law enforcement, corrections officers, and firefighters - to address
the escalating threat of drones in drug trafficking and other criminal enterprises. Participants will learn to
identify UAS capabilities and vulnerabilities, operate within the legal framework for interdiction, and
seamlessly integrate foundational counter-drone tactics into existing intelligence and enforcement
operations to ensure mission success.
