Fentanyl Overdose Awareness (Fentanyl Facts & First Aid)

Course Description: As the risk of encountering fentanyl becomes a daily reality, this essential course is
vital for law enforcement, criminal analysts, and community partners in the counter-narcotics mission. You
will gain a comprehensive understanding of what fentanyl is, its origins, how it's transmitted, and the specific
hazards it poses, equipping you to protect yourself and your team. Crucially, this training provides practical,
life-saving instruction on how to recognize an overdose and properly administer naloxone, empowering you
to effectively render aid and save lives in the most critical moments.

This course is designed to provide Law Enforcement Officers and other first responders with tools and techniques when caring for patients in tactical environments. Tactical Medicine Hemorrhage Control (HEMCON) for Law Enforcement emphasizes basic interventions for hemorrhage control used to treat one of the leading causes of preventable deaths in tactical environments (extremity and junctional exsanguination).
