Synthetic Opioid Responder Safety (Synthetic Opioid Awareness)

Course Description: This course is critical for law enforcement, criminal analysts, and community partners
who must safely and effectively operate in environments contaminated with synthetic opioids. You will gain
the fundamental knowledge to identify Fentanyl, its related substances, and chemical precursors, while
mastering current tactics to mitigate the extreme hazards of clandestine labs and milling operations. The
training covers vital planning considerations for your jurisdiction, including proper PPE selection, field
testing methods, and leveraging external resources, all culminating in a practical tabletop exercise that
solidifies your team's response to a realistic fentanyl lab scenario.
